Just purchased the product from Best Buys. The Setup is asking me to enter Serial Number. The package gives me the Product Code. i enter the Product Code (with and without "-") and it says "Invalid Serial Number".
I entered every other numbers and codes i was able to read from the package and the result was the same.
what's wrong? can someone help me?

i wish i was a LOT smarter

There should be a sticker on the back of the CD envelope with the serial number. I believe it has 24 digits, and you should enter it without the dashes.
You can also contact Adobe Support directly...

thanks for your reply. the sticker on the back of the CD envelop is the same product code (22 characters) as i was given.

i contacted the Adobe Support directly (on the web) and i was bombarded with..."congratulations you won" this and that, just give me your email address, cell number and other information to claim your winning! and the website was full of buy this or that support. i don't think i'm that lucky to win all these prizes LOL.

what is going on here? maybe i was away from america too long (6 years) to think of these standard scam tools as normal.

i'm going back to Best Buys to return this and maybe figure what's going on.

i just wanted to be able to fill up the PDF forms using my keyboard (instead of printing the forms and fill them up by hand). i could have gotten an illegal version of this or other products in china for free or just pay 60 cents for it but i refused to support piracy. i see the biggest piracy of consumers are happening here, not in china.

Hey thanks try67. your link brought me closest to the source and chatted with an expert following through his instructions.
1. because i teach at a university i've got a product with product code and not serial number
2. the process of submitting proof that i am a teacher failed because...i was told i have to reload my internet explorer (didn't work on the Google Chrome either)
3. so the final solution ended up to be for me to take my new computer and the software back to Best Buys and let them figure it out.

i have concluded to just print the form and fill it out with a pen and after that i have no other use for this product. maybe i can just use the trial version to do that. i've used other free software to do just that and i can go back to figure how that was done.
i teach math and computer science LOL

Maybe use a different browser than Chrome. Say, IE. I never use FireFox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc. when I need to interact 'professionally' with an organization. Yes, it's true that IE may not be the ACID test standard, but it is the standard that most businesses test against for forms and user interface work.

Also, be wary of firewalls, proxy servers and other such mischevious beasties that tend to get in the way of Adobe's registration tools.
