Javascript Blacklist Framework

Hi,

I have posted one topic here (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/582476) on the impact of the Javascript Blacklist Framework on XFA Forms and responded here (http://forums.adobe.com/message/2743301#2743301) to a thread on the impact of the framework on non-XFA PDFs.

I would be interested to hear about similar experiences and how to work with/around the impacts of the new framework.

Thanks,

Niall

Hope this helps,

Niall

Did you try exempting these files from advanced security? I have had to go to Preferences-security(enhanced)-and add the file(s) to the Privileged Locations. This works, but if you have deployed your PDFs over an enterprise you would have to update everyones Reader which may not be possible.

I'm trying not to use Javascript anymore in PDFs until this gets resolved.

Thanks trudolph,

I have tried adding the PDF to the privileged locations, but it does not seem to work. In any case the PDF has gone out to several clients and I don't have the opportunity to make the changes to each user's preferences.

Just to note, the JavaScript Blacklist Framework has affected the following PDFs:
1 XFA form with FormCalc making http POST.
2 PDF with an embedded .swf calling Flash Player.

The first form does have Javascript as well, but it is the FormCalc that is falling over. The second does not have any script in it at all.

Thanks for you help,

Niall

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the info. I'm having to work around the Javascript problem myself. As customers update to the latest Reader it causing more and more problems for legacy PDFs that are out there.
