Link out of existing words

I am using Acrobat Professional 7.0 and I am trying to create links inside my document to link up to other pages within the same document. I can get it to link with boxes around the word/words, however I was wondering how you make the links out of the words themselves? I would like to do this and use different colors for the different links is there anyway of doing that?

Hi --

You can't make a link from the text itself within Acrobat. You'd have to return to the source program, add the links, and then convert to PDF again.

However, you can use a workaround in Acrobat like this:

1. Press Ctrl+E to open the Properties Bar.
2. Select the words you want to use as the link with the TouchUp Text tool.
3. Change the text color in the Properties Bar.
4. Select the Link tool on the Advanced Editing toolbar.
5. Draw a box around the text to use for the link.
6. In the Link Properties dialog box, set the appearance to Invisible, and proceed with the rest of the linking process as usual.

When you are finished, you'll have the same effect as adding text links from the source program.
