Hi -- I'm a newbie and just installed my Acrobat 8.1.
Whenever I try to use the Link tool, I get an error message as soon as the "Create Link" dialog box appears, and then the program shuts down.
This happens on all kinds of documents, not just one. I can't get it to work at all since installing the program.
Rebooting my computer doesn't help.
Does anyone know what a next step might be? Technical support through Adobe looks quite expensive. I opened a Web Ticket, but it looks like they will not be responding until Tuesday at the latest. (And I have a new business proposal I was hoping to finish today.)
Thank you for any input you have on this issue or any support services I might try.
Mary
Not sure what's going on with the crashes. Until you find an answer, have you tried using the Button tool? You can create the same link destinations using buttons and they're much more manageable than links. Let is know if creating buttons also crashes the program.
