Links within PDF doc won't open using Win7

I have a user with a PDF document with links to other PDF documents. When on an XP machine, I can open the original PDF and successfully click on the links and open the related PDF files. When I try the same thing using the exact same files on Windows 7, nothing happens. I have looked at settings but cannot see anything that would cause this so I am hoping someone else has run across the issue and can provide some advice.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.4.2, Windows

Are you getting any messages about the links being blocked?

Have you checked the Windows 7 security settings?

Are you opening the PDF in Reader and not Acrobat?
If so, check for the protected mode in Reader's preferences.

You may need to hold down the 'Ctrl' key while clicking on the link.

No messages of any kind. Just does not open the window or anything. I wish there was some message to give me some hint!

Security Settings do not seem out of line.

I used Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Standard on two different XP computers and was able to open the links successfully in both. On my Win7 box, I used Acrobat Standard without successfully opening the links within the original PDF document.

Any help is appreciated!
