Hello all,

I have looked for this on many different websites including here, and I feel like I am doing something wrong because people keep talking about indesign and features I do not have available to me.

Here is my issue:

I want to view documents in continuous-facing mode. Every time I do this it displays like this-

- 1
2 3
4 5
6 ...

I want it to display like this-

1 2
3 4
5 6
...

I have done pdf compares and the default output is what I want, but I cannot for the life of me figure out the proper settings to have other documents show up like this.

I am using Acrobat Pro 7.0

Thanks.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 7.0.1, Windows

Hi anthonie.moll,

There is a setting under View ->Page Display named "Show Cover Page During Two-Up" Is that checked? If it is uncheck it and you should get the display you want.Hope this helps,

Hi Dimitri,

Thanks for your response, but I do not have that option under my view. I saw "two-up" coming up repeatedly when I was searching for help earlier, but I could not find such an option and a search of the help documentation yields nothing.

Hi anthonie.moll,

Well I do not actually have Acrobat 7 Pro on my system anymore, but I'm pretty sure that did not change. So when you go to the Acrobat top level menu item "View" do you even have Page Display? What options do you have under the View menu item?

I do have a "Page Display" under my preferences

Options are:

Default Page Layout [same options as view]
Display art, trim, bleed boxes
X Display large images
Display page to edge
Display transparency grid
X Use logical page numbers
Use CoolType
Overprint Preview
X Smooth text
X Smooth line art
X Smooth images
Use greek text below [] pixels

There is no difference in any of these between the documents that work and those that don't.

NOTE: I had these all nice and spaced before I submitted, but it evidently deletes "unnecessary" whitespace

Hi again,

Thanks for posting the list of menu items. Looking at them made me go to another machine a fire up a copy of Acrobat 7. It was quite interesting to open that version up after a long time. Things have changed a LOT, and I've forgotten a LOT. The options I mentioned are not in 7 and I did not find a way to get the layout you want. Continuous-facing puts the first page as a cover sheet on the right side. Later versions of Acrobat have more options like the ones I mentioned earlier, which do result in what you want.
