Greetings. New user of Adobe 8 pro. I have the need to insert dimensions into existing blueprints and some of the existing dimensions are aligned vertically to the diagram in the print. To clarify you would need to turn the right print either 90 degrees left or right to have the text in a horizontal alignment to you.
I need to align my dimensions to the existing ones.
I also need to know how to format the text that I am inserting.
I have tried rotating the print pdf and that kinda works except that I find myself unable to edit the box any further after I compose it. It seems that all editing tool alignments default back to the bottom edge (horizontaly) of the original document
I am actually converting metric dimensions to American dimensions and maintaining alignment will keep the print easier to use
Any help will be appreciated.
Bob
How are you adding the text to the PDF? If you use a text field, the rotation can be set to 0,90, 180, or 270 degrees and you can format the text size/color all from the Text Field Properties dialog ( right click on the field and choose Properties). To move the text field into place, if you activate the Object Select tool, then click on your text field you can use the up/down arrows on your keyboard to nudge the field into place in small increments.
Hope this helps,
Dimitri
