Hello I am a complete beginner at this so please forgive me because I might be asking a completely stupid question.
So here goes, I have two documents that I don't let me change the system font so that I can copy and paste text in the document. I have tried using the edit text tool, then going to proprieties, text, and try to change the font to a existing system font but it tells me that the fonts I have cause to many variations and that substitution is impossible!
I have tried this with many fonts and the sc.pseudo.font.0/1/2/3/4 don't let me change the document in any way!
If any one can help me with this I would be very greatful, because I need these documents edited asap!

I am new at using Adobe Acrobat Pro (10) and need to edit several large documents. I have easily found my way to edit text (and watched the online tutorial for same) but I get a message "All or part of the selection has no available system font. You cannot edit or delete using the currently selected font." The font of the document is Times Roman, which is a font on my computer and pretty universal. I see nowhere to add or edit fonts in Acrobat Pro to add or even view what is there. Surely I don't have to add Times Roman to Acrobat's system files? Or, do all fonts that one wants to use have to be loaded by oneself? Can you help? These documents have a deadline for editing. Thank you! Vita.

Did you ever resolve the problem of no available system font? Having the same problem with a pdf downloaded to use. Added fill-in fields, but needed to change some wording. Using Acrobat Pro 9.
No question is stupid and no question is too basic. What you're asking is a common question among many users.
In order to change a font using the TouchUp Text tool two things are needed. You need to have the font loaded in your system and the font has to have permissions for font embedding. Some fonts cannot be embedded due to licensing restrictions. The font you are trying to change is likely either not loaded or may not have the proper permissions.
