Yes I have 2 files that I need to ocr and bates label. One file is 2180 pages. The other is 2197 pages. When I ocr them Acrobat stops working after 200 pages or so. I was wondering what could cause this, and what solutions were available.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.0, Windows

Is there an error message? Does Acrobat stop working or does it crash?

Have you tried to change "Data Transfer Method" under "Scanner Options" from "Memory Mode" to "Native Mode" or visa versa?

2000+ pages is quite large for single file of scanned image material. If each page weighs 100k, your 2000 page file will weigh 200 megas. Aside from the OCR issue, you would get generally superior performance with smaller files, say, in the 200-300 page size. If there are logical subsets, you should consider dividing the large files to multiple smaller files. This may also solve the OCR issue. If you'd like one-on-one assistance, send me an email.
