OCR error

using ocr on document but keep getting error Unable to process the page because the Paper Capture recognition service experienced and error. (5) This document has 26 pages and this is the only page I get error. This page isn't any different than the other pages. What can I do to fix this.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.3.1, Windows

I found the following post in an Adobe forum:


I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro. If I open a raster pdf file by double clicking on it in explorer, then try OCR, the OCR fails saying that it was unable to recognize the Paper Capture Recognition Service. If I then close acrobat, start it from the desktop icon, and then load the same pdf using file/open, the OCR proceeds flawlessly. This seems to be bug in acrobat. You can work around it, but its quite annoying.


So far I have found this work around to be effective.

I am having the same problem as fwsgis. I am using Acrobat 9 Standard. My document is only one page. I open the program from the shortcut ikon on my desktop. I'm getting the same error regardless of how I open the program and document. Does anyone else have any ideas? Thank you.
