Open .tif files with Acrobat 8

We recently upgraded to 8 standard/professional. With version 6 installed we could set tif files to open directly within acrobat (control panel-folder options-file types). When setting .tif files to open with acrobat in version 8 we get the error message, "there was an error opening this document. The file could not be found." Now if we save the file out of Outlook to the desktop and then go into acrobat and do a file-open it works. Any option or setting to change so this will work?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8, Windows

Hi greeno,

You don't mention what OS you are on. Have you tried right mouse-clicking (windows) on the TIFF file and using the contextual menu to convert to PDF?

Hope this helps,
Lori

XP SP2, Outlook 2003. We figured out the problem. We set the default for .tiff to open in Acrobat by going into folder options-file types in explorer. When going into the advanced tab the "%1" wasn't in quotes which was the issue. We put the quotes around it and it now works.
