Recently my boss installed Reader 8.0 (we previously had 7.0, I believe), and now I can't open any QuickBooks documents that were saved as .pdf files, such as prior period bank reconciliations and other financial reports that were saved as .pdf's. I'm on a deadline for some reports, and I can't get to any of them. I just get the square in the upper left corner w/ the square and circle and triangle. Can anyone help w/ this? I'm able to open some pdf files outside of QuickBooks, but not the ones within the program.

My Product Information:
Reader 8, Windows

This sounds like something is going on other than Acrobat. Are you sure you can view PDF files in Reader 7 but not Reader 8? Are they really PDF documents? Once converted to PDF you should be able to vew the files in both viewers. We would need to see a sample file in order to help run down the problem. You can send one to me at: west [dot] net.]ted [at] west [dot] net.In the meantime, to meet your deadline, just deinstall Reader 8 and reinstall Reader 7 if you're sure you can open the files in Reader 7. Meet your deadline, then let's work on the problem.
