Opening internet acrobat file problems

Q: My Sony Viso laptop had pre-loaded adobe acrobat professional. I un-installed it after the trail period and downloaded the acrobat reader. Still can't open acrobat files from the internet. is the adobe acrobat professional configed to read all acrobat files automatically. what do i need to do to correct this

You just need to reset the PDF file association:
Open a Windows folder select Tools --> Folder Options.
Click on the File Types tab.
Scroll to see .PDF in the left hand col.
Click on .PDF then Change.
Choose Reader from the list.

However, in Vista, can't fine Tool when I open a Window folder.

Hi Tseten,

Try checking this IE setting:
Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Enable third-party browser extensions(requires restart)Else double check to see that the browser integration is turned on by checking Edit>Preferences>Internet>Display PDF in browser.Lori
