Using Acrobat Pro X trying to reduce the size of an existing PDF document (obtained by scanning a document on a all in one printer).
I go to File, Save As, Optimized PDF and despite various elections/selections of "quality", no reduction in file size occurs.
This was so easy with Acrobat Pro 9.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

You should OCRize the document using the "ClearScan" option and downsampling at 150 dpi :

What were the actual ppi settings you used in the optimization window? There is a slight possibility that your ppi settings are higher than what your scanner actually scanned the document at - which would indeed result in an identical file size. You may also check your scanner to verify what resolution it's scanning at.
