I have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and I never used to have this problem. Now my problem is everytime I save the PDF file into Word, I have no spaces in between words and I have to manually enter a space for each word. How can I get rid of this?

Thanks.

OCR text exhibits the characteristics you describe.

An example from a document that has been scanned and imported into PDF then had OCR applied:

if you have MS office, scan to MS document imaging, Then OCR to MS word. Also your scanner manufacturer may provide OCR engine.
