Hi,

One of my clients has a web site designed for viewing @ 1024x768. He's now complaining that, due to the wide margins, the pages cannot be printed correctly (i.e as seen on the web site). Therefore, rather then rebuilding his entire site to accommodate the limitations of most printers, I instead used Acrobat Pro v7.0.9 and converted the pages to PDF that, by default, force the printer to print in Landscape rather then Portrait. I also added some htlm code to the web page itself so that now when one clicks "Print" in their web browser, it forces the printer to print filename.pdf rather then the actual web page itself.

NOTE: I'd insert the code used to force the printer but it it would mess with the text of this post but the code can be seen at -> [link=http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/printstyle.htm]http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/printstyle.htm[/link]

Everything is fine up to this point however, when one attempts to print the PDF, all the text, graphics, etc, is somehow missing from the PDF. The only thing that prints is a header with the URL and filename itself, Furthermore, even if the original PDF had more then one page, it prints a footer saying "page 1 of 1".

I thought it may have been something I had inadvertently done when creating the PDF so I did the samething but with a default template using Adobe Designer (part of the Acrobat Pro package) and the results were the same.

Any ideas as to why and, more importantly, how to resolve the problem?

Thanks in advance

P.S. I uploaded the PDF's as Binary.

I went to the URL and captured the Web page. The default capture was a portrait view with the margins intact. I printed the PDF file on a desktop PostScript printer and the same view shown onscreen in the PDF document printed on paper (also margins intact).

The HTML code looks like a bit of a problem as some links look like a problem and some source code appears on the PDF and print.

I suspect the problem rests with the HTML file and the Page Setup dialog box in Acrobat.
