Plug-Ins in Acrobat 9.2

I am brand new to Acrobat and would like help with Plug-Ins. Going to Help/About Adobe Plug-Ins I see many that are labelled as not "loaded". In the Plug-In folder I see that they are there. I can't find in Help anything about how to load them, or indeed even how to call them up and use them.
Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Am I right in believing there is no User Guide; just the Help information? Is there a decent book to use as a User Guide? Although new to Acrobat I am familiar with PDFs through imitation applications, so it doesn't have to be too elementary, though I suppose there is no harm in starting at the beginning.

Grateful for any assistance.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.1.3, Windows

The core plugins are loaded when required - if you open a document with DRM, the DRM plugin loads. If you set the page view to reflow, the reflow plugin loads. You don't have to do anything.

There's no user guide per se, but sites like this are designed to provide education and support, plus there's the Acrobat section on adobe.tv and a myriad of third-party printed books. Adobe's online help system plugs into these sites when searching for results under the "community" category so you'll get tutorials, videos, examples and forum posts appearing in addition to the page from the help file.

Thanks, Uvsar. That puts me in the picture. I'll be back as and when I need help.

Hi, I'm also new to using Acrobat. I'm working with Word docs but want to publish them as PDFs.

I was wondering whether there is anyway to check links within Acrobat after I have created a document. The documents I'm working with are reasonably simple, but they're coming from Word into PDF form and I'm worried that my hyperlinks won't work. Is there some way to do this without manually checking? Seems like a bit of a pain if not!

Also, is there anyway to set the bookmark for a link so that there is a little bit of room above the for the bookmarked heading? The way it seems to do it gives no room at all (just 2 millimeters more would be nice!).

I've had a look in the help but not seen anything.

As well, just wondering whether there are some generic plug-ins or other things that are useful that are not mentioned in the help menu.

Thanks very much,
Elizabeth
