Plus or Minus key to create incremental name fields in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended

I am creating a form and I would like to create incremented field names by copying the following fields (name.1, name.2, and name.3), creating a duplicate and then using the (+) or (-) keys to create increment numbered fields. However, in Acrobat when I hit the Plus (+) or Minus (-)key nothing happens. I am using a laptop without a number pad. I have tried using the Num Lk button on my laptop but it still does not work.

I have tried using the (Place Multiple Field) command when I right click on the filed to be copied, but instead of renumbering name.1 to name.2, it is renumbering name.1 to name.1.0 and when I repeat the exercise it then renumbers name.1.1

Can anyone help?

Thanks

That's an oldie but a goodie. I think that very useful feature was removed with the release of Acrobat 6. I too wish they would restore it.

Brill....I thought I was going MAD :-)

I have sorted out the (Place Multiple Field) approach.

Thanks
