Problem with Open Parameters

There appears to be a cache on the open parameters. If I open page 9 of a pdf ie. www.example.com/file.pdf#page9, it works fine. However, if I try to open page 3 ie. www.example.com/file.pdf#page3 or any other valid page, the file continues to open on page 9. I have to delete all temporary internet files to open the pdf to a different page. Version of Adobe Reader is 7.0.9.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Yes, there is an application preference in Acrobat/reader that can be selected to use or not use the client's cache. There is also a document property that be changed when a PDF file is opened by Acrobat JavaScript that can turn of the page caching regardless of the user's setting. So an author of a PDF that wants to link into different pages within a PDF should be sure to turn off the page cache for the PDF.
