I am a Gas Engineer and have to carry with me manufacturers maintenance manuals there are around 20 manufacturers each having 7 or 8 different manuals. I have all these manuals in PDF format and what I am trying to do is to put them all on a dvd disc. I have managed to get an AUTORUN program to launch the welcome page but from there on I am at a loss.
How do I get the reader to open showing the sort of layout I am trying to achieve below
with the collapsible list in the navigation pane and the individual manual in the work page. Each manual having its own page numbers.
I have bought several books on the subject but I feel I am missing a simple but vital trick. Can you help?

I am assuming you are using a standard Mac or PC computer to view these PDF files (rather than a PDA).
If that is the case, you can open each PDF file and going to File>Properties then to the Initial View tab, set how it will open up. Be sure to also go to Acrobat Preferences>General>Page Display and set your Default Laout and Zoom to what works best for you.Hope this helps,
