After my computer crashed and I reinstalled Windows XP and then Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro i tried to activate it but I got this:
Too Many Activations
The maximum number of activations allowed for this copy of Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 Professional has been reached. You can:
Deactivate
You may deactivate your copy of Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 Professional that has been previously installed on another computer and reactivate it on this computer. To do this, launch Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 Professional on the other computer and choose Help > Deactivate, so it can be activated on this one.
My problem is that when the computer crashed I wasn't able to deactivate it and consequently it still shows that it is activated to Adobe. I have 2 questions:
1st - How do I get it activated again, and
2nd - Is there a way to back up my activation info so that if I have another computer crash in the future that I can just recopy the info back into Windows XP?
Thanks,
Keith
