Removing footnote from all pages

Hello folks,

Short question, how do I remove a footnote from every page of a multi-page pdf file?

Description,
I was going through old copies of SOPs at work. I noticed that a colleague who has left our organization few years ago, stamped all pdfs with a footnote that these SOPs were made by him. The truth is, our team made those SOPs and he was NOT a team leader. Honestly, I am very upset and I would like to remove that footnote from all pdf pages. I wonder if that is possible. If yes, how?

Thanks in advance.

It depends how the footers were added, and whether or not the pages were flattened.
Did you have a look at the Add/Remove Footer or Header option?

Acrobat can not detect those footers and I don't have idea how he must have added them.

As try67 alluded to, if an annotation was used and then the PDF files flattened they will not be detected as an annotation/field.

If Acrobat 8 Pro or 9 Pro is available either has the redaction tool. It could be used to redact as appropriate.

Perhaps the footnote(s) were in the authoring file(s) from which the PDF(s) where created.
Cleanest might be to simple go to the authoring files and output replacement PDF.

Be well...

Or you can upload one of the files somewhere and let the experts hanging around here have a look.

use AA9 redaction tool (view> toolbars> redaction) to remove any image text or graphic, including the footer of concern. (based on the question posted, one may assume that the subject file is an image file that is not OCR'd. read help for 'Removing sensitive content') some experimentation will be necessary
the steps
1- on 'redaction properties' set 'redacted area fill color' to white.
2- on 'mark for redaction', with mouse draw rectangle around (select) target image text or graphic. do this on each page as needed
3- click 'apply redactions'

if the text to be removed can be accurately OCR'd, you may be able to use the 'search and redact' tool.

with AA8 the procedure is more complex and best results require use of an image editor (photoshop or ps elements)
