Out of a sudden my Acrobat started not showing any images that are not embeded on the document.
I would like to know if there is any way I can restore the settings to default or if I will need to re-install to correct the problem.

It doesn't sound like there's a way to restore a default for your problem. Fix the installation by choosing Help > Repair Acrobat Installation. That hopefully will do the trick.donna.
