Save/Save AS

When Replacing pages and then attempting to save/save as, the PDF does not save and a different file format document is created with a name of i.e, aah03328 and the document we were working on disappears. Why does this happen?

Acrobat Pro 7.0.9, Windows

Check the Format drop down menu when using Save As and be certain PDF is selected.

Thanks, but we've checked and yes PDF file type is selected We have the document open in Adobe Acrobat Prof 7 replace a few pages, hit Save and a different file type document is created. This happens every so often and it is not a recognizable file type it just shows a file that always starts with a letter and number and the file type just says "file".
