scan 8 1/2 by 11

when i scan thru adobe, i can only scan 8 1/2 X 14. I need 8 1/2 x 11

Check the scanners page orientation to make sure it is set for portrait (8.5 x 11).

In Acrobat: Click Edit, Preference, New Document, in the Default Page menu, make sure the size is set to Letter, Portrait.

Also check (in Acrobat), the Scanner Options Dialog Box to make sure the paper size is also set to portrait.
