I am using Acrobat X Pro with an HP Scanjet 8390. I have the latest HP software and drivers. My OS is Windows 7 64 bit.
 
Here's my issue: When I scan multiple pages using the TWAIN driver, I get blank pages inserted between each actual page as if I were doing a duplex scan(even though I select "Front Side" only when setting up the scan). This does not happen if I use the WIA driver. The problem with the WIA driver is that I have to select letter size paper for each scan or it defaults to legal size.
 
Any help would be appreciated.

I have recently purchased a HP 6350N Network Scanner. Within Acrobat X it only works correctly using ADF in either Front or Double sided scanning with a custom scan option. If you use any other option is always scans double sided even when set to Front only. Is there a fix?

I am using XP professional as an Operating system.

HP only recommend using their software which requires you to save to disk before reading or editing, so a waste of time!
