Is there a way to do a search for a word(s), then extract each page that word(s)appear on?
 
I'm new to Adobe Professional 8.0... still learning the ropes !

You could search for the word in the document and extract the pages using javascript.

Not sure, I try and keep away from VB.

I've done it with JavaScript and it's pretty simple.
