Search and replace text

Is there a feature in Acrobat that will allow you to globally alter a word throughout a 700 page document? A part number is incorrect on each page. This is a language PDF files that is generated by a translation house. I'd like to alter the content in the exsisting PDF file and notify translations to fix the source file rather than having them generate and send out another PDF file which could take a week.

Although not intendeed for this purpose, you can use the new Redaction features in Acrobat 8 to search and redact information. You can change the Redaction properties to not show a redaction mark and replace the redacted information with custom text. You'll need to experiment a little and find the right font and font attributes to match as closely as possible your original text.

OMG! I can't believe that there isn't a simple search and replace function in Acrobat. And even the text editor is pretty much crap too. I've only been using this product a day, but so far, I am not impressed!

That's probably because you don't understand yet that Acrobat is not a text editor.

Does anyone know how I might search for a certain text throughout my pdf form I created and replace it with another text in Acrobat 9 Pro version?

example; in word I can do ctrl find "name" and click replace "name" with "Cheri" throughout the entire document??
Very new to creating forms but this is a feature i'd be using sometimes. Once I replace the text with the new text I'll need to send to clients with there name on it rather than genaric form. I'd like to customize a form for each client.
Thanks-hope someone can help.
