I am using Adobe 9 Pro.
Why is it that even though I set a file size maximum to split, Acrobat doesn't attempt to create the split at that maximum size?
For example, I have a huge file and tell Acrobat to split it by File Size -- maximum 2mb - and the end result are output documents with a variety of file sizes ranging from 1,025kb to 400kb.
I understand that they may not all be the same identical size in that it is splitting at a "page", so depending on the kb size of the page, the file size may vary - slightly.
There must be some behind the scenes hierarchical decisions that Acrobat makes, but it is not clear to me what they are.
Does it look at page size, followed by bookmarks, followed by......????
Any helpful insights would be appreciated.
Thanks
Do all the pages have similar content? Are there large images on some pages and mostly text on others? Different content results in different file sizes- fonts, graphics, interactive features, etc.
Hope this helps,
