Can someone tell me and would know if it possible to apply a Javascript to a document that would enable me to, firstly, give a user my document and allow them to access my doc, then after one year shut the user out if a number ( or some sort of code ) is not entered on or before that specific date.
Example: For instance a subscription to a magazine. If you don't renew your subscription, you cannot read the magazine any longer and your subscription is cancelled. Simple.
But, would it be possible? I already use an ExprireDoc Javascript code which works well enough, I'm not interested in using the DRM option ( I have my reasons ). The Expire code does not apply to having a subscription based feature to using the doc.
Can someone can help? I bet Mr. Johnson would know.
For example, the user can:
- disable JavaScript
- change the date on their machine
- delete your script (if they have Acrobat)
The only real solution is DRM, I'm afraid.
