When viewing a reader extended & shared review enabled pdf document within IE, I'm finding that it can take almost 30 seconds for the file to render completely. The file is less than 2MB and the download progress goes very quickly (maybe 3 seconds) then it stalls out for up to 25 more seconds while rendering the image and displaying the Shared Review Toolbars. I already have my options set to not display the welcome or connect popups, but it still seems to take an excessive amount of time. We're dealing with 34x36 construction drawings, but it still seems like its taking way to long to render. Is this just a limitation of the in browser plugin or is there an option that could help speed this up? Would a high performance graphics card help? The same document renders in about 5 seconds on the desktop...
Some users also find turning off Display PDF in Browser will open the file much more quickly. Check out the answer here:
