Vector "I"s and "l"s Render Heavy

Hello,

In all my years of making PDFs nothing has infuriated me more than a recent bug: Whenever I use a vector (.eps or .ai) logo in outlines and save a PDF from either Adobe Illustrator or InDesign, any shape that is just a "stick" gets rendered heavy, and the more you zoom out the uglier it gets. At first I thought it could just be me, but other logos suffer the same fate.

Here is a PDF so that you can see what I'm seeing (hopefully).

Interestingly, in Mac's Preview application the PDFs look as sharp as they can be. So this is clearly some sort of Acrobat glitch.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Armin

So in a desperate attempt to solve my problem, I solved it!

I added two vector points with at the middle of the "stick" and added curve handle bars and kept them straight. And it worked. The PDFs now look sharp.

Here is a GIF of the solution for anyone that might Google their way on this subject.
