I would like to be able to do a vertical split on my screen. I like the ability to view and manipulate two pages as provided by the horizontal split feature - that's great - but I want a vertical split. the next step from that is to use two monitors with one page on each. Any offers? (The 4-way split is not suitable for my purposes - I have tried fiddling with it!)

Thanks Dimitri for your prompt reply. Vertical tiling works fine with two documents but does not work with pages from the same document as does a 'split window'. It nevertheless provides a solution and I assume that it will work well with dual monitors.

I would still like to find an equivalent to the horizontal 'split window' that enables me to view parts of the same document on the same monitor with a vertical split

Thanks
