Hi,
I asked them on the PDF Generation forum but haven't gotten a response.
I am using Acrobat and Reader 8 on Windows XP Pro system with service pack 2. I make PDFs from Framemaker 7.2 files.
On the Settings tab of the PDF Setup for Selected Files dialog box there is a View Generated PDF in Acrobat check box, which I have selected. However, the PDF does not automatically open when the PDF is generated.
In addition, on the Adobe PDF Settings tab of the Adobe PDF Printing Preferences dialog box I have selected the View Adobe PDF Results check box.
No matter what I have tried, the PDF does not automatically open after generation. I have to double-click the PDF myself.
I have worked elsewhere (where I am now is a new job) where I have used this check box and it has worked. So I know it's doable.
I have tried the Adobe help, and I have searched the forums, but nothing has come up with the words I am using in my searches.
I create a lot of PDFs. Whatever time/keystrokes I can save would be very helpful so I want to make this capability work.
Is there some other setting somewhere that I am forgetting/don't know about?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Pat
Try making changes to these settings to see if that resolves the problem.
I've assumed Acrobat, Reader, and Framemaker have all been updated.
