in enabling audio, video, and images in Powerpoint?? ---Powerpoint does this natively -- a plug in to accomplish same seems to be superfluous... especially at a $500 price tag purchased as stand alone... I'm trying to figure out the benefits of AP to warrant an extra 200$ for pro extended... so far, I'm nonplussed. There are a lot of questions that Adobe leaves frightfully unanswered regarding this "step child" of theirs... Just try and get some info from their web site-- or call up their enterprise help section and ask a few questions... Hopefully the eseminar presently in incubation will shed some much needed light.. Thank you, in advance, to any lightbearers who can attest to benefits using AP for audio, video, and images in particular.

Presenter creates a Flash project, so the "show" plays on any client computer without needing Powerpoint installed. It's also fully timeline-controllable, unlike a PPS packaged file (so you can scrub through video slides with the playhead, which a video embedded in PPT the "Microsoft way" doesn't permit. Aside from the multimedia, Presenter supports routing through slides via subjective pathways, like an interactive DVD menu, quizzes and reporting to an ELMS, on-screen links, attachments, etc. - the list goes on.

Presenter is *not* about making a PPT file for display to a room full of students inside Powerpoint - for that, you use the native MS controls. Presenter is about making a remote learning package so you don't have to be in the room in the first place.
