I need help,
I am in my aunt office she has a full version of acrobat 8.
I am trying to change one word on the document. it has no security code, The OCR has been done, I can highlite the word, it shows that I can delete it but it does not, it shows that I can paste but it does not,
My project is due next Monday in school, I need someone to walk me step by step, I would greatly apriciate it.

It sounds like you created a PDF with hidden text. That is, there is the scanned image that is visible and then there is a hidden text layer under the image that is searchable, modifiable, and copyable but not displayable.
