Batch Processing

Q: I am not able to batch process a directory tree in Acrobat 8 as I was able to in Acrobat 4. Am I missing something or did that functionality change?
 
A:Works for me. I just tried it in Acrobat 8.1.1

A:It's possible that there is a problem with permissions on the folders.

Q:Thom,
I am not sure what batch proces you are running that works, but I again tried and Acrobat would not let me select a folder-only files.
 
The steps I took were:
 
1.) In Adobe Acrobat 8.1.1 under advanced/document processing/batch processing I select new squence
 
2.) name the squence "NewSubsTest"
 
3.) select commands\document\OpenOptions\ADD
 
4.)change open options to
- intial view=page only
- page layout=single page
- open action- page 1
- open action- magnification= fit to width
 
5.) Back in the edit batch sequence of commands, #2 run commands on =select when sequence is run
 
6.) Select output location=same as originals
 
This is a batch process that I need to run several times a day on different sets of directories, many with files in sub-directories. I do not want to have to edit/save each time I need to run this on a different directory.
