Batch Processing in Acrobat 7.0 Standard

I know that Acrobat 7.0 Professional has an option for batch processing and custom java script processing. I am wondering if batch processing in Acrobat 7.0 Standard is also possible? Would a global or a folder level java script work for manipulating multiple files within a user-specified directory?

Only if you know the names of the files by advance and can hard-code it into your script.

I can generate a list of file names and pass the file names as an array to the script, although I would prefer if the user can select the files by navigating to a folder through the open file action window.

I don't think you can let the user select the files. Maybe one by one.
Another option worth exploring is using the activeDocs property of the app object.
If all the files are disclosed, I think it can be used to batch process all the files currently open in Acrobat.
