First read [url=http://www.acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2006/form_calculations]How to do (not so simple) form calculations[/url] by Thom Parker to see some the methods for creating calculaltions. It also provides links to additional reference material about Acrobat JavaScirpt. There are also some vedios and eSeminars ondemand that could help get you started.

Percentages are decimal values and the percentage symbol is only a dispaly format.
