Data Connection

I am trying to create a Data Connection in LiveCycle (via Professional 8.1), yet I keep getting the same error message when I try to "Preview PDF": "Xml parsing error: not-well formed (invalid token) (error code 4), line 1097, column 3 of file." What's up with this?? I am able to successfully connect to the database and get the fields imported into Design View. I simply want to pull data from my database that will return the appropriate information in a drop-down list. ANY help would be much appreciated!!

Acrobat Pro 8.0999999999999996447286321199499070644378662109375, Windows

This sounds like it could be an LiveCycle bug. Have you done a google search to see if anyone else has reported it? Have you looked at the XDP in a proper XML editor like XMLSpy to see what the actual error is?

I'd suggest posting this message and the actual file with the problem to the LiveCycle Designer Forum on Adobe's "User to User forums"

Thanks for the reply Thom,

I recently found out that the problem was something with the table itself. I tested it on other tables, and it connected without an error. As to what was wrong with the original table, who knows...

Thanks anyway,
