Hi there!
My company has asked me to create a stamp for multiple documents which may be edited on the page to include the date, a cheque number, and the amount for the check. There is no database for it to be pulled from, for we are not quite that organized yet, although if there is a way to pull it from Quickbooks it may be plausible.
I have searched multiple times, but I can only seem to find tutorials for older versions, less complicated stamps, or dead links. I have been looking over Thom Parker's tutorial, which is very informative. My first problem would be that I can't for the life of me open the JavaScript box since it does not seem to be the same at Acrobat 8.
For now I would appreciate assistance in creating a stamp I may put custom text into three open fields. I am using the Standard Acrobat 9 version on Windows, but I do have access to the pro edition.
Thanks!
One of the problems with the Version 9 Standard version, is there is no enabled JavaScript console provided, just like in Acrobat version 7 standard on. But Adobe as part of the SDK for Acrobat provides a JS script file and instructions for modifying the Windows Registry to enable the JavaScript console, How to Use the JavaScript Debugger with Adobe Reader By Joel Geraci. You will need to adjust locations for Acrobat and not Reader.
With the Standard version you will also not have access to the document level JavaScripts.
Since the tutorials were written using the Professional version and use features normally only available in the Professional version, I would look at using the Professional version for your task.
