I use Acrobat 9 proextended.
when i try to open more than 50 pdf files, an error message prompts.
How can i open more than 50 files?

Acrobat Pro Extended 9.1, Windows

You should be more specific. How are you trying to open them? Is it through a script (this is the scripting forum), or manually? Which kind of error message do you get?

I open 3d pdfs by menu (file - open - select pdf files) manually.

What does the error message say?

Adobe Acrobat window is poped up and it contains the message as "There was an error openning this document. The maximum number of files are already open. No other files can be opened or printed until some are closed." and an OK button.

That seems to be the maximum. I didn't see any place where you could change it.
