Pages Panel & Page Default Inital View

Is there a way to have "pages panel & page" be the default initial view for all documents created? Right now I create the document, do Control D, and pick from the dropdown list but this adds extra steps to every document and I work in hundreds a day. As a sample moves through the lab I am constantly adding reports/worksheets to the file, moving, extracting pages to report to customers, etc. so I need to see the pages panel all the time.

This feature would have to be set by the program that does the conversion. Whether or not it can be done depends on how the conversion software was written.

However, since you have a lot of PDFs you can save time by useing a batch process to add the initial view.
