Radio Button - remove the dot on click

Is there a way to make a radio button un-selected if it's clicked on a second time?

Like...when you place a radio button on a pdf document and it's clicked on once it fills the circle with a dot. If you click it again it does nothing. Is there a way to make a radio button so it can be un-dotted if it's clicked on again?

How do you do it?

That is what a check box does! If you need the circle and not the check mark, then change the "Check Box Style" from "Check" to "Circle".

Hi Bort,

No, once a radio button is selected the only way to change it is to select one of the other radio buttons choices- you cannot completely clear the radio button set once one option is selected.

Maybe radio check boxes could work for what you want to do. Check out this tutorial from the Learning Center here-

Hope this helps,

According to this http://www.nitropdf.com/help/creating_radio_button_fields.htm

There isn't a way. I'll await confirmation from one of the gurus here. I'm assuming there might be javascript or something I can include that allows what I want my radio buttons to do.

Hi Dimitri,

Thank you very much! I'll look in to that.
hmmm...thought; what if I make a check box and use the circle style for it? I'll try that too.
Cool! Yes, that will work for what I want it to do.

Thank you again, Dimitri. Very much!
