saving PDF forms in Reader 6

I have created a form in Acrobat Professional 8 and want to email to users with Acrobat Reader, have them fill out the form and email it back.

I have Enabled Usage Rights for Reader, but Reader 6.0 still cannot save the file after filling out the form.

I have a PDF that can be filled out and saved using Reader 6, so I know it can be done. Was this file created with Acrobat Professional, or do I need some other program to create the PDF?

Would it help if I emailed the two PDFs I am referring to?

Thank you for any help.

Hi Milt,

Enabling Save Rights with Acrobat 8 Pro will only allow users with Reader 7 or higher to fill and save- that is why Reader 6 doesn't work. I assume the form you have that can be filled and saved in Reader 6 was enabled using Reader Extension Server, which is a different product from Adobe.

Hope that helps,
