How can I create a default initial view with my own properties (magnification, layout, etc.), so that whenever I create a PDF, the initial view is the one I set up?
If you want to create the initial view for your own viewing preferences, you can set your defualt view for all files that use Defualt as the Initial View in the Page Display Preferences.
If you want the initial view set for all users who view your PDFs, you have two options. You can run a Batch Sequence on a folder of PDF files using custom Initial View settings.
I haven't tried this for some time, but I believe your second option is to add a PDFMark script. You'll need to get a copy of the PDFMark Specification that shipped with older versions of Acrobat, create a Prologue.ps file and set your Acrobat Distiller Job Options to use the prologue file when distilling PostScript to convert to PDF.
