Transfering custom dynamic stamps

Hello all,

I've created several simple custom dynamic stamps on my computer. They stamp the current date and initials, etc. i tried to transfer one stamp to my managers computer, but it didnt show up on his stamp palette. this is what i did.

1) I opened my "user" stamp folder.
2) Extracted just one stamp. each stamp has its own page in the file.
3) Inserted it into his stamp "file" within the stamp folder.
that didnt work so i tried to just add it to the folder so now there are two
files within his stamps folder. that didnt work either.
is there something im missing? ive read the articles that discuss transfering stamps and it seems straight forward, but its not working.

Please advise.

thanks'
Daniel-

The key to stamps is setting up the correct template name. Each stamp is a page in the file that is marked as a template, and the name of the template has a specific naming convention. When you copied the page from one stamp file to the other, you probably didn't set up the new stamp page as a template with the correct name.

Begin by opening the file that contains your working stamp. Then select: Tools > Document Processing > Templatesand you should see a list of template names. Make a note of the name for the stamp page that you're interested in. To make sure it's correct you can click the "Goto" button.

After you've copied the page from your stamp PDF to the other, open the other stamp PDF to the page of the stamp you added and again select "Tools -- Document Processing -- Templates" and add a new template with the name you noted earlier.

Save the file and that should do it.
