My boss wants to red line text in a PDF document involved in negotiations. I can't find a way to do it. Can someone help me?

Check out the commenting toolbar in Acrobat Pro. If the PDF has been "Rights Enabled" for Reader, then it will also work in that tool.

Thanks, Thom for your reply. We just got Acrobat 8 Pro and received no training, so can you be more specific as to how I go about this. I'm sorry to be so challenged.

Hi Nanci,

Open the PDF, go to the main menu and select Comments -> Show Comments and markups Toolbar. In that toolbat click on the Text Edits. A dialog will popup with instructions, one of which is how to red line text- in the document highlight the text to line out and press either the Backspace or Delete key on your keyboard. Continue as needed. To get out of Comment mode simply click on the Hand Tool (looks like a white gloved hand in the toolbar area).Make sure to spend some time in the Learning Center here and watch come of the e-Seminars on demand- they will show you how to do many of the most common tasks (and some not so common) in Acrobat.

The Help file- found on the main menu under Help ->Complete Acrobat 8 Professional Help is also a good resource you can access to answer many questions on using Acrobat.Hope this helps,

Dimitri
