Hi. I'm using Acrobat 5.0 on WinXP. I'm converting a Word doc to pdf and am having problems importing a logo. I've tried placing the logo in a variety of formats (jpg, gif, tiff and in BW and CMYK) into the Word file, then making the conversion to pdf. It looks fine, but the image area prints out red on a color printer, as if there were a screen on it. Someone suggested importing the image onto the pdf, but I can't figure out how to do that.
Thanks in advance,
Don
Here's how.
(1.) Create a folder on your hard drive - suggested name: icons
(2.)Convert the image into a PDF file & save it to that folder.
(3.) Open up the parent PDF and go to the page you want to insert the image.
(4.) Using the Form Tools, draw a button in the area for the picture.
(5.) Right click the button and set the following properties:
(a.) Click the Options tab and set the Layout to Icon only.
(b.) Set Behavior to none
(c.) Under Label, click the button titled - Choose Icon & click the browse button.6. Go to the Icon folder and select the image you converted to PDF and select it then click OK.
7. Click OK in the Select Icon dialog box.
Your image will now be displayed in your PDF. Now set these properties for the button.
(1.) Under the Apperance tab - No border or fill color.
(2.) Under the General tab - Select Read Only and Locked.
This is not the easiest way to present an image in a PDF. I suggest you check the Distiller setting for PDF Maker to insure they are set correctly and update your printer driver if necessary.
