In trying to convert a powerpoint (2003)to adobe acrobat professional 7.0 in a custom size, lets say 54"X42" it won't convert to that same size even when I save the settings.
In powerpoint, I go to the adobe pdf button on the top toolbar, go down to "change conversion settings", then I go to "advanced settings", put in 54.0 X 42.0 in the default page size area and then "save settings". Then I go back up to the adobe pdf button in the top toolbar and click on convert to pdf. While converting it, acrobat PDFMaker pops up with a gray box, in it is an exclamacion point in a triangle that says this presentation contains custom slide size for which contents might be cropped, select yes to fit to page (no tags will be created) or no to continue anyways." I then click YES, then once it's converted, in Acrobat I go to file and scroll down to document properties, description, and in page size it will say 10.89X8.49"
Why isn't it keeping the cusom 54X42 size I put in and saved, how can I get it to convert from powerpoint to acrobat and maintain that 54X42 size?
To keep your custom page size setting I would recomment following the tips on this technical note:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=333220&sliceId=2The note outlines the best method to create PDFs from Word but can be applied to Powerpoint as well especially in regard to custom page sizes.
Hope this helps,
